On Tuesday September 2nd, 2008 a rebirth will be upon us. A rebirth you ask? Yes, a rebirth! CW has resurrected the old show Beverly Hills 90210, but turned it into a spin off named just 90210. As it stands, the only members of the original cast that will be appearing in the new spin off are Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), and Nat Bussichio (Joe E. Tata-owner of the Peach Pit). Offers were extended to a lot of the rest of the old cast, but most declined. Tori Spelling who played Donna Martin was set to join the cast, but backed out at the last minute when she found out that she wasn’t going to be paid as much as Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.

There aren’t many telling commercial promos for the new show, and there haven’t been ANY screenings for the media at all. The people at CW and their studio partner CBS Paramount Network Television decided on a special marketing ploy to make it a true premiere. I think that with all of the hype with the show already that no matter what the show will be a hit or miss on its own, so the added hype isn’t necessary. Don’t forget the 2 hour season premiere of 90210 on Tuesday September 2nd, 2008!
