Show opens with a lady talking about how Quentin Fields was a good brother, son and friend. The voice over says that they never met Fields and now will never be able to. Skills goes to Lucas’ house and knocks on the door. Lucas answers the door and Skills asks Lucas if he got a call and if it’s true, if Quentin is really dead, Lucas says he is and asks Skills if he wants to come inside. Nathan is shooting baskets on the river court as Haley pulls up and starts walking to Nathan. Nathan asks her what’s wrong and they pan out as Nathan drops the basketball and hugs Haley.Brooke is in her store and looking out the door. She is still all swollen up and throws her clothes out of her store.

Haley and Nathan wonder how they will tell Jamie their son about what happened to Fields. They are in his room and sit by Jamie and Nathan tells Jamie that Q’s heart stopped working and that he died. Jamie asked if Q will still play basketball and Nathan said that he can’t play anymore. Haley told Jamie that Q died but Jamie got off the bed and said that he wants to make a cape for Q and that he will love it.

Their are people outside of Brooke’s store grabbing the clothes she threw and Peyton comes into the picture and stops the people from taking free clothes and asks if Brooke lost her mind. Brooke and Peyton then was about to talk about Brooke’s mom but Brooke stopped her and asked her what she wanted. Peyton told Brooke that she stopped by to tell Brooke that Quentin died last night.
Carrie then opened the curtain to the room she is keeping Dan in and told her that she has a new plan. She first told Dan that she isn’t falling for his heart story. Carrie tells Dan that reguardless what he thinks, Jamie still does love him and shows him a car Jamie made for Dan which was in Dan’s pocket. Carrie said that she is going to get Jamie to see her grandpa Dan before he dies and hopes that Haley comes with him and that she will kill her but people will blame it on Dan because he is a murderer.

Haley walks into her classroom as reaction from Q’s death starts to sit in with everyone. Haley said she didn’t know how to tell her 5 year old son about Quentin death. She asked if people wanted to talk about it and one of her students said what’s the point? Q’s dead and some idiot shot him and he’s not coming back so what’s the point? To which Haley responded there’s no point.

Nathan and Jamie are in the Raven’s lockeroom. Jamie is looking at the board that has the Ravens plays on it and has Quentin’s name circled. Nathan goes into Q’s locker and grabs a book and flips through it. Jamie see’s Q’s jersey and asks Nathan if he can have it. Nathan says he thinks Q would like that and Jamie puts it on. Jamie and Nathan then hug.

Carrie has a gun that she got from Dan’s beach house. Dan then wonders and asks why Carrie doesn’t have kids of her own. He tells her that she is young, attractive but a little psycho. Carrie then puts a bullet in and loads the gun and cocks it back as we shift to Brooke shooting off a gun in a gun range.
Haley, Peyton, Lucas, Skills and Jamie all go to Quentin’s house to meet his mother. She thanks Lucas for standing up for Quentin during the basketball season when a player fouled Quentin hard and Lucas punched him. Q’s mom told Skills how Quentin always had good things to say about him. Q’s mom especially thanked Haley. Q’s mom told Haley that she knew he loved basketball and that when she seen he was reading a book she almost had a heart attack.Jamie and Quentin’s 5 year old brother were outside talking and each talked about what their relatives do best. Jamie told him that he was making a cap and that it was red. Jamie then went to the car with everyone and grabbed Fields jersey and took it back and gave it to Q’s brother.

Haley and Nathan are talking and Haley is making the cape and says that Jamie might want to finish it. Haley says Jamie shouldn’t go to the funeral cause it would be sad. Nathan tells a story about how when he was younger he had to kiss a 100 year old dead guy and that freaked him out cause Dan made him. Nathan said Haley fears clowns, Nathan fears old dead guys.

Skills and Deb are talking in a room and Deb says she heard what happened and wasn’t able to get a hold of Skills earlier. Skills and Deb talk but Skills isn’t in the right mind to talk right now.
Brooke is in her room and she is staring at the mirror that she put all her bruises on with words like revenge and justice next to them.Whole gang is in front room of Brooke’s house and Brooke talks about the stats in rape, assault, burglary and then talks about death when Jamie walks in. Brooke apologizes then leaves.

Haley and Brooke are outside talking after Brooke walked out. Brooke tells Haley she’s sorry and asks if she should talk to Jamie but Haley says to talk to her instead. Brooke lies about her bruises. Haley tells Brooke she will give her a number to a therapist that she and Nathan went to see.Dan is trying to leave Carrie’s house by unhooking everything on his body and gets out. Dan stumbles across the yard cause of his broken leg. Dan then trips and looks up and see’s a make-shift grave for her son. Carrie then tells Dan to get away from her son and whacks him with a shovel in the head.

There is a make-shift memorial by the school and there is a picture of Q and a bunch of flowers around the picture. Haley and Nathan are standing by it and Haley tells Nathan that she is 22 years old and she don’t understand it so how is she suppose to explain it to her students. Nathan hands her a book and tells her she got to Q.Skills, Lucas and Nathan are with the team in the gym. Skills tells team that they can be angry, upset and hateful but if they got a problem then come to one of the 3 coaches and talk it out. Skills even said it’s ok to punch the guy who did this.Haley is in her classroom and a new student takes Q’s old seat. Haley asks her name and tells her to take a seat in the back because that seat is taken.

Brooke and Peyton are at Peyton and Lucas’ house. Brooke comes in to tell her that she got her something and it’s Brooke’s house key that Peyton left on the table when she moved out. She said she may talk to Victoria her mother because life is to short. Peyton tells Brooke she got her a present as well and shows her all of her clothes she threw out the door and says she had to wrestle them away from 2 real strong women and a kid in a wheel chair. Brooke tells her to keep them but Peyton says life is to short.

Haley is in her classroom and says that earlier she said there was no point but there is. Haley talks about how she was in the same position they are in and how difficult there is. She then tells them to take out a pen and paper and the new girl asks why. Haley responds by saying this is a literature class. Haley then tells them to write down a memory of Quentin after she tells them about Archeologists and how they find stories. As she was walking through the class room she see a writing on Q’s old desk and asked who did it. A student says he did and she ask for a marker. Haley puts something about Q down on the desk then all of the students except new girl writes something down. Haley walks past the new girl and tells her nice shirt then says Clothes Over Bros.

People are gathering at Quentin’s funeral. Haley and Jamie talk about the funeral and Haley tells Jamie that they are going to say goodbye. Lucas and Peyton talk about the wedding and Peyton tells Lucas not to worry about it. Lucas says it’s nice that Peyton is here especially now.
Nathan goes to see Brooke. Nathan tells her that he knows what she is going through because he’s been there. Brooke says she’s fine and Nathan tells her that she may be or may not be but that he will be mad if She doesn’t come to him when she needs someone to talk to.

Carrie and Dan are talking and Dan asks about Carrie’s son. Dan tells Carrie that kidnapping Jamie won’t bring her son back. Carrie starts to cry.Family and friends are gathering for the funeral including Jamie. Reverend starts praying and Deb see’s Skills and she walks to him and puts her arm around him as he does the same. Nathan looks on in either disbelief or anger. The Ravens basketball team arrives to the funeral and hands Quentin’s Mom flowers. The voice over talks about how Quentin was a brother, a son and a teammate. The voice over talks about how Quentin was as a human being but that the person never got to meet Quentin and now never will. The voice over turns out to be the new girl Samantha Walker. During voice over we seen Carrie putting flowers by her son’s grave in the backyard and Jamie puts the cape on Quentin’s casket as the voice over tells more good things about Quentin and the birds of Ravens of how they can fly and now Quentin can to.
