The episode revolves around Patrick investigating the murders of three national guard veterans. Patrick goes undercover in the investigation and suspects that the only national guard member alive is the murder suspect.

The Mentalist is aired weekly on CBS. The episode “Flame Red” will be aired on December 2nd, 2008 at 9/8c. The episode guest stars Joel Bissonnette and Marcella Lentz-Pop.
